One of the more difficult tasks that I face as editor of the magazine Weather is trying to persuade scientists to write non-technical articles, describing their work or expounding their specialist knowledge. Many authors find the writing of such articles as much of a challenge as writing for such journals as the QJ. The articles are, however, much appreciated by readers who are keen to learn about current developments in the subject, and to read informative review papers on varied aspects of meteorology.
I realise that not all work conducted within UGAMP readily lends itself to a Weather-style article, but if you are interesting in putting pen to paper for Weather then I would be glad to hear from you.
